Wales

Passing through Wales on a journey between Ireland and England is an opportunity not to be missed with the chance to stop at one of the quiet and pretty villages which look like they’ve come straight out of a Dylan Thomas poem! There’s also many historical, medieval castles around the northern coastline and you could may be even make a stop in the stunning town of Llangollen set on the River Dee with its own heritage, steam railway, an eerie hilltop castle, a riverside pub with a working water wheel, and a haunted hotel!
A longer stay in Wales will allow the opportunity to visit some of the many attractions such as the unusual village of Portmeirion, Snowdonia National Park, or the capital city of Cardiff for its great shopping opportunities and the lively, modern development around Cardiff Bay!

“I can’t thank you enough for making this tour so special, but somehow I knew you’d be wonderful. I love all your commentaries on both Irish & English history, and your subtle humour.”
